The other stunning portion about this recipe is you can add whatever toppings you want to it. I have a house full of chocoholics, so I extra a couple of chocolate chips to the leading and it additional just sufficient sweetness to be excellent. Because they are muffins, you do not have to do all two.five dozen with chocolate you can do a couple with raisins or fruit or leave it plain. This leaves a whole lot of choices open, and in my viewpoint, signifies it’ll be really straightforward to play with. Up to date 4/ten/twelve: I’ve found that including an additional cup of oatmeal firms up the muffins superbly. It does not make them dry at all and I don’t finish up with them falling apart when I consider to get the wrappers off of them. In fact, I’m adjusting the recipe beneath to reflect this. So if you want the original quantity of oatmeal for this recipe, it’s five cups. The six cups is to make them much more firmer.
Updated seven/23/12: Oh! I’m generating an additional change….protein! Given that I’m obtaining on an “eating clean” and protein diet to help the excess weight loss, I’m including three scoops of a protein powder.
1/4 cup egg beaters
2 cups applesauce, unsweetened
1 tsp vanilla extract
three-4 mashed bananas
4 tbsp sugar
one/four cup ground up flaxseed
one tbsp ground cinnamon
3 tsp baking powder
one tsp salt
6 cups previous fashioned oatmeal
two three/four cups milk
2 scoops of Body Fortress – Super Sophisticated Whey Protein
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine eggs, vanilla, applesauce, banana and Stevia with each other in a bowl.
- Add in oats, salt, baking powder, flaxseed, protein powder and cinnamon – mix effectively with moist elements.
- Ultimately pour in milk and mix.
- Spray a 12 and six capability muffin tin with cooking spray or use cupcake liners.
- Pour mixture evenly into muffin tin cups.
- If using toppings include them onto the tops of muffins now. If employing fresh or frozen fruit, drop it correct into the batter.
